The National Police reported the arrest of three men identified as alleged participants in a violent event that occurred on March 9 in the La Vieja Barquita sector, Sabana Perdida, in Santo Domingo Norte, where a woman was killed by a gunshot wound and five other people were injured in the same way.
The detainees are Josué Soto Brito, 24 years old; Samil Yancel Ramírez Familia (a) “Samil”, 22, and Junior Sanchez De La Cruz, 21, who were arrested by members of the Division of Investigations of Crimes Against Persons (Homicides) in compliance with arrest warrant No. RAJ-2026-03103.

The authorities indicated that the detainees, Josué Soto Brito, Samil Yancel Ramírez Familia and Junior Sanchez De La Cruz (a) El Gordo in the company of the named Gregori Eduardo De La Cruz Fleming (a) 30, Miguelito and Enyel and/or Angel, these last 4 (fugitive), used the car brand Hyundai Accent, blue color, year 2016, license plate A946232, and the vehicle brand Daihasun model Hijet closed gray color license plate I127189 to commit the act. The incident occurred on Ozama Street corner Valera, in the area known as Villar Casa VIP, where Carmen Félix Franco, 28, died as a result of a gunshot wound with entry and exit in the right eye, according to the acting forensic doctor. In the same incident, four men and one woman were injured, who are receiving medical attention after presenting various gunshot wounds. The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office, while the National Police maintains the search for the other individuals involved for their capture and submission to justice.
