The nominees for the Soberano Awards 2026 will be announced today.

Santo Domingo, RD.- On Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, the Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte), will officially announce the nominees for the 2026 edition of Soberano Awards, the highest award of the artistic class of the Dominican Republic. The announcement will be made through the official digital platforms of Acroarte and of the awards ceremony, Premios Soberano, revealing the names of those considered by the guild after the selection process in the categories of the sections, Cinema, Classical, Popular and Communication. The revelation of the Sovereign nominees is one of the most anticipated events for the Dominican artistic class on the agenda prior to the celebration of the award, which this year is scheduled to be held on March 18 at the Eduardo Brito National Theater at 7:00 pm, in a gala that will be broadcast in the Dominican Republic by Color Visión Channel 9 and by the Hispanic television network Univision for Dominicans and the Latin community in the United States.

Soberano Awards 2026 will be hosted for the first time by presenter and actress Georgina Duluc, and for the second time by actor and comedian Irving Alberti, a super talented duo worthy representatives of Dominican talent.

While the presenter and singer Amara la Negra, presenter of the program “Desiguales”, from Univision, and the talented host Josell Hernández, have been confirmed so far as two of the red carpet presenters, the expectation remains as to who will be accompanying them in hosting the pre-show.
