Trump posts fake arrest video of Obama created with artificial intelligence

WASHINGTON. – Former President Donald Trump shared on his social network Truth Social this Tuesday a video manipulated by artificial intelligence (AI) that simulates the arrest of former President Barack Obama by FBI agents. In the fake clip, Obama appears handcuffed and being removed from the Oval Office, while Trump himself watches him smiling from a nearby chair.

The montage, clearly generated by AI, also includes images of other prominent Democrats, such as President Joe Biden, in similar detention situations, although less explicitly.

The audiovisual material has generated immediate controversy, being described by critics as a maneuver to spread misinformation in the midst of the electoral campaign for the November elections in the United States. So far, neither Obama nor Biden has publicly reacted to the video released by Trump. For his part, the Republican team has not offered any explanation about the publication.
