Junior Caminero reveals he will be a father to a girl

United States- Dominican baseball player Junior Caminero and his partner Francesca Nicole shared with great emotion that they are expecting a baby girl. The couple, who got engaged in November 2024, revealed the news through an emotional video posted on the social media of the Tampa Bay Rays player.

In the audiovisual material, the exact moment when both discover the baby's gender is observed, receiving the news with joy and celebrations alongside family and close friends. With only 22 years old, Caminero is going through a stellar present in his first full season with the Rays. Known by his fans as "La Máxima", the third baseman has established himself as one of the most followed Dominican figures in baseball in 2025, also standing out as the third Dominican to hit more than 30 home runs this season. The personal celebration coincided with a new sporting milestone: after the revelation of his daughter's gender, Caminero returned to the field and connected a grand slam against the Cardinals' reliever, Matt Svanson. That home run was number 37 of his campaign, surpassing Evan Longoria (36 in 2016) and placing him as the fifth player with the most home runs in a season in Rays history.

"I am a very proud father at this moment," Caminero expressed after the special day that combined family joy and sporting success.

Caminero was selected to the 2025 All-Star Game and became a finalist in the Home Run Derby, confirming his status as one of the most promising young talents in Major League Baseball. Likewise, he has left his mark as one of the youngest Dominicans to surpass 22 home runs before the All-Star Game, a record that places him on a privileged list alongside legends like Albert Pujols.
