Starting Friday, June 6th, the offer will increase with direct flights departing from Punta Cana to the Puerto Rican capital. In total, travelers will be able to choose between two weekly frequencies from Santo Domingo and four from Punta Cana, thus reinforcing the air link between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
The first flight between Santo Domingo and San Juan was jointly supported by the Government of Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, and the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic. These institutions have partnered with Arajet to optimize connectivity between both territories and promote reciprocal tourism.
Beyond connecting the two islands, this new operation offers Dominicans and Puerto Ricans access to 11 international destinations through Arajet's stopovers in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. Among the points they will be able to connect to are Aruba, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
