Arajet moves 85% of the passengers mobilized by Dominican airlines

The Dominican airline Arajet continues to strengthen its growth and contribute to the development of the country's tourism by transporting 531,608 passengers during the first half of 2025, not including connecting passengers, which add up to more than 100,000 additional, thus achieving a record figure for a Dominican airline in a 6-month period.

The figures provided by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) recorded that Dominican airlines transported 624,706 passengers, excluding connecting passengers, in the period between January and June 2025. Of this, Arajet mobilized more than 85% of the volume, consolidating its leadership in the country and contributing significantly to the dynamization of the Dominican air sector.

By including transit passengers, Arajet stood out by mobilizing a total of more than 635,000 passengers in the first half of 2025. This makes it the Dominican airline with the most flight movements from the Las Américas International Airport and Punta Cana International Airport. In addition, according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism, it is already the 5th most important airline in the world in terms of tourist transport to the Dominican Republic.

According to the JAC report, Arajet's routes with the most demand during this period were Medellin, Bogota, Miami, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Lima.

Victor Pacheco, CEO & Founder of Arajet, expressed his satisfaction with the airline's sustained growth and reaffirmed that this is part of the commitment to strengthen the connectivity of the Dominican Republic and continue connecting the country with the rest of the continent.

"We are extremely focused on turning the Dominican Republic into a logistics hub that can contribute to the development of tourism and trade in the country to increase its competitiveness in the region," he indicated.

Arajet plans to increase this growth sustainably with the new routes to Newark, Miami and San Juan, as well as those that will begin in the last quarter of the year connecting the country with the cities of Orlando, Boston and Chicago in the United States, and Córdoba, in Argentina.
