Jarabacoa.– The legal and social community of Jarabacoa is in mourning following the death of lawyer Melitón Ortiz, a prestigious lawyer and distinguished citizen, native of this municipality.
The lawyer Ortiz was a figure widely respected for his solid professional career and his firm civic commitment. In the exercise of public and social life, he stood out as a lawyer and communicator, as well as being a founding member of the Lions Club of Jarabacoa, an institution from which he promoted multiple initiatives for the benefit of the community's well-being.
He also served as past president of the Legal Association, leaving a legacy marked by ethics, service, and institutional responsibility, values that guided his actions and strengthened the practice of law in the locality.
His remains will be displayed at the Lions Club of Jarabacoa. The family will inform in due course the time of the wake and other details related to the funeral honors.
