Monte Plata. – In an event that has caused consternation in the community, the body of Sergeant Juan Pablo Soriano Torres, 38 years old, of the Dominican Republic Army, was found lifeless this Friday morning inside his home, located in the Los Suizos sector of this municipality.
According to information provided by the authorities, the soldier's body was found in an advanced state of decomposition. Family members indicated that they had been out of contact with Soriano Torres for approximately three days, which caused concern. The deceased leaves a four-year-old girl orphaned. Members of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), representatives of the Public Ministry, members of the Dominican Republic Army, and a forensic doctor were present at the scene. The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), where the corresponding studies will be carried out to determine the exact causes of death. The authorities reported that the case is still under investigation.
