Santo Domingo. – The Santo Domingo International Book Fair 2025 closed its most recent edition with a historic success, consolidating itself as a cultural and literary benchmark in Latin America. This year, the event stood out for its record of international participation and the large number of cultural activities offered to the public.
The event was attended by representatives from 19 countries, 165 invited authors and more than 370 publishing houses, which strengthened the literary and cultural ties between the participating countries and reaffirmed the international vocation of the fair.
The infrastructure included five thematic pavilions, seven auditoriums, the Business Hall, the III Antique and Used Book Fair, the Ludic Oasis, and spaces dedicated to comics and bibliodiversity, providing a wide cultural offer for all audiences.
The focus on children's literature was one of the main attractions of this edition. Workshops, storytelling, and educational activities fostered the reading habit in children and young people, consolidating the Children's Pavilion as one of the most visited spaces of the fair.
During the FILSD days, more than 400 literary and cultural activities were carried out, including book presentations, conferences, talks, recitals, and theatrical works, offering learning and entertainment experiences to thousands of visitors.
