Azua. – The Catholic Church of Azua held this Sunday the walk “A Step for My Family”, a massive act of faith and unity that brought together hundreds of parishioners with the aim of promoting family values and thanking God for the blessings received.
The day began at the Technological University of the South (UTESUR) and went through the main streets of the municipality until it ended at the Central Park, in front of the Parish of Our Lady of Remedies. There, the participants shared prayers and experienced moments of worship during a Eucharist presided over by Monsignor José Grullón Estrella, along with priests from the pastoral area.
During the journey, attendees carried banners with messages of love, faith, and hope, highlighting the importance of the family as the foundation of society. The activity integrated people of all ages and sectors of Azua, who walked together in an environment of reflection, joy, and spiritual communion.

The organizers highlighted that the initiative seeks to strengthen family unity and foster spaces that promote peace, coexistence, and respect within the community. The walk was supported by institutions such as the National Police, the Fire Department, Civil Defense, the 9-1-1 System, and DIGESETT. Deputy César Beltré Méndez, Senator Lía Díaz and her husband, César Díaz Filpo, also participated in the event.
