La Victoria.– Amidst the pain of his son's death, Mr. Daniel Danilo Rincón made an urgent call to the authorities to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of the teenager Anser Daniel Rincón Fabián, 15 years old, whose body was found in a lagoon behind the José Méndez Baseball Academy, on the Yamasá–Villa Mella highway. The young prospect's father asserted that he does not accept the preliminary version that points to a possible drowning and stated that the body showed signs that, in his opinion, should be thoroughly investigated.

"I had bruises and all that are signs of mistreatment, of blood at the scene. So, what is my call to the authorities? It is really to have some clarification, because no one has given me any answer about what happened," he expressed visibly affected.

Rincón stated that so far he has not received official information either from the authorities of the sports complex or from police organizations. “They haven't contacted me. I have no response from any institution, neither from the complex nor from the authorities,” he stated. The teenager resided from Monday to Friday at the sports complex, where he developed his training as a baseball player, and returned home on weekends. His father explained that he visited him weekly to bring him supplies and accompany him in his athletic development process. “Not because he is my son, but because of the values I have instilled in him, I know who my son was. I need this matter to be clarified, for investigations to be carried out at the scene, and for the competent authorities to give me answers,” he insisted. According to reports, when he went to the complex after hearing the news, he was unable to speak with the colleagues who were present at the time of the events, as they remained isolated inside the building. “We couldn't speak to anyone”, he indicated. The young man, who had been playing baseball since the age of five, was considered a talented prospect. According to his father, he had recently received approaches from organizations such as the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals. "He had talent, because that was his devotion. He loved baseball, it was in his blood," he stated.

In addition to his passion for sports, the teenager actively participated in the church as a musician, according to his parent. "After receiving good news last week, today I receive the news that my 15-year-old son has passed away with signs of violation. What I demand is an answer. What happened here?" he firmly expressed. The minor's body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), where the corresponding studies will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death. The case has generated consternation in the sports community and among residents of the area, who are also calling for a thorough investigation. The teenager's burial is scheduled for this Friday at 4:00 p.m.
