Tokyo.– The Japanese production company Toho officially announced the release of the highly anticipated sequel to Godzilla Minus One, also revealing the first promotional poster for the film, which will mark a new stage in the cinematographic rebirth of the iconic monster.
The new installment, titled Godzilla Minus Zero, will arrive in Japanese cinemas on November 3rd, a date known as "Godzilla Day," while its North American premiere is scheduled for November 6th. This almost simultaneous international release represents an unusual exception for Japanese productions of the franchise.
Director Takashi Yamazaki will return to handle the direction, script, and visual effects supervision, following the critical and commercial success of Godzilla Minus One, a film that became the highest-grossing live-action Japanese production in the United States and also made history by winning the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.

Production is already underway at Toho studios, with Robot as the production company and Shirogumi leading the visual effects work. So far, no details about the plot of this new story have been revealed.
In the United States, the film will be distributed by GKIDS Films, reinforcing the international projection of the franchise.
