Isolated showers are expected for this Thursday, according to Indomet

Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET) forecast isolated showers for this Thursday in the country, associated with the northeast wind's drag over coastal areas of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Espaillat. In the afternoon, the chances of rain will remain low; and, if they occur, they would be the product of a weak trough and the wind's drag, occurring occasionally and of short duration, especially towards points in the southeast, such as La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, and even Santo Domingo and San Cristóbal. Similarly, for this Friday the front system will approach the Bahamas; however, the anticyclonic circulation will continue to dominate, so the front will lose characteristics before reaching the country. Even so, in the early hours of the morning and the morning, isolated rainfall will occur on the Atlantic coast, especially over La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat and Puerto Plata. During the afternoon, these showers could extend towards Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Gran Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez and Monseñor Nouel, among other nearby provinces. In the evening, a sky with few clouds will return.

We are in autumn and due to factors such as the northeast wind, as well as the occasional approach of frontal systems, the temperatures feel cooler and more pleasant, especially during the night, dawn and the first hours of the day. In the mountainous areas and their valleys, the formation of fogs or mists is also common. National District: scattered clouds. Santo Domingo North: scattered clouds. Santo Domingo este: few clouds. Santo Domingo West: scattered clouds. Minimum temperatures between 21 °C and 23 °C and the maximum between 30 °C and 32 °C. Summary: The anticyclonic system will begin to reduce rainfall, generating good weather conditions over a large part of the country. Both the trough and the frontal system will have little or no impact on local conditions. Temperatures will remain cool and pleasant, especially at night and early morning. Maritime conditions are normal on both coasts. For the weekend, Saturday, the anticyclonic circulation will continue to influence, favoring mostly sunny morning hours. In the afternoon, isolated and short-lived showers could develop in scattered sectors of La Altagracia, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, among other nearby areas. During the night, a sky with little cloud cover will prevail again.
