Santo Domingo. - A man who was actively sought by the National Police after hitting another citizen in the head with a bat during a social conflict under investigation that occurred in Mao, surrendered this Sunday to the authorities through his legal representative.
The detainee is Braulio José Sánchez, 36 years old, who had assaulted Fernely Antonio Polanco, currently admitted in delicate condition in a health center in Santiago de los Caballeros.
The assault occurred on Saturday amid an incident captured on camera on Abraham Lincoln Street in Mao.
The man was handed over to the Northwest Regional Intelligence (Dintel) and the Public Prosecutor's Office through his legal representative.
The detainee remains in police custody and will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
