After a promised afternoon delivery that failed at the last minute, the fugitive surrendered hours later at the DNCD
Santo Domingo.- The fugitive Argenis Santana Herrera (Argenis Kodigo) surrendered to the authorities on the night of this Friday at the headquarters of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD).
The Public Ministry had expanded efforts to capture him after a promise of surrender was thwarted at the last minute, with the mediation of his lawyer.
Santana Herrera was pursued for his connection to the criminal structure of drug trafficking and money laundering that was dismantled this week in a joint action with the DNCD.

The staff of the Fugitives, Rebels and Convicts Capture Unit (Ucaprec) moved in the afternoon to the Prosecutor's Office of Santo Domingo Este in response to the promise of surrender made by the defendant's lawyer and the interest of his family.
Santana Herrera is linked to a drug trafficking and money laundering network dismantled last Monday in an operation in which Alfredo Samboy Féliz (Burungo) and Suleica Herrera Geraldo were arrested.
A team of 21 prosecutors from the Santo Domingo Este Prosecutor's Office, with the support of 150 agents from the DNCD and Navy personnel, carried out 15 simultaneous raids in the National District, Santo Domingo Este and Baní, Peravia province, against members of the criminal structure that in September 2024 had 20 packages of cocaine seized in Villa Mella.
During the operation, two houses, four apartments, a villa, a pharmacy, firearms, two nightclubs, vehicles, a recreational boat, a drone, a satellite phone, five Jet Skis, clothing, documents, money in pesos and dollars, electronic equipment, cell phones, and other evidence related to the investigation were seized.
The occupied nightclubs are Kodigo VIP, in Santo Domingo Este, and Flow Room, in the National District.
