Santo Domingo. – As a prelude to the grand nights of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival 2026, Radio Televisión Dominicana (RTVD) launched the special program “RTVD Rumbo a Viña”, hosted by a team of communicators and experts in the world of entertainment.
The special production is led by Samir Saba, Wanda Sánchez, Leyla Yépez and Marielle Araujo, who have imbued their professionalism, charisma and a great narrative to generate content of high emotional and historical value, connecting with the audience and bringing every detail of the festival to Dominican homes.
This coverage featured a tribute to the outstanding Dominican artist Maridalia Hernández, as well as the famous impersonator Julio Sabala, in addition to having the testimony of the merengue singer Roberto del Castillo, who was recreating the moment he went up on the Viña del Mar stage with the remembered Johnny Ventura.
"RTVD Rumbo a Viña" has also featured the participation of singers and musicians Ramón Orlando, José Antonio Rodríguez, Alfio Lora, the producer Aidita Selman, the communicators Zoila Puello, Juan Tomas, Ynmaculada Cruz Hierro and the fashionista Alex Macías.
Considered "the most influential musical event in the Spanish-speaking world," Viña del Mar has featured this year a lineup of stars including Gloria Estefan, Pet Shop Boys, Jesse & Joy, Juanes, Yandel, Bomba Estéreo, Matteo Bocelli, Paulo Londra, Asskha Sumathra, among others.
The event extends until Friday, February 27th, when trap and urban pop figures from Argentina and Chile will perform, along with the humor of Santiago Endara and his character "Pastor Rocha", in an evening that bets on the new Latin American sounds.
Throughout the broadcast of the Viña del Mar Song Festival, the Dominican public has enjoyed memorable performances, historic moments, and a top-level artistic display, solidifying this edition as one of the most talked about.
The RTVD management, headed by Iván Ruiz, reaffirmed with this alliance its commitment to raise the standards of state television, offering a multiplatform proposal that guarantees image quality, sound, and high-level content.
