Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin today emphasized the economic importance of the countries that make up the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which includes Russia, India, Iran and China, among other countries, during the meeting of the council of heads of government held this Tuesday.
"According to forecasts, by the end of this year (the participation of SCO members in world GDP) will grow even more, to 35%," Mishustin said, adding that this percentage is now one-third.
The minister called to harness the organization's potential to "improve the well-being" of citizens, noting that this was the goal during the Russian presidency of the organization's council of heads of government.
