The Floating Bridge is closed today until noon; they call to use alternate routes

Santo Domingo. – If you are going to cross between the National District and Santo Domingo East, take note: this Saturday the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River is temporarily closed, so the authorities recommend avoiding the area to avoid getting caught in traffic jams. The Ministry of Public Works explained that the closure will be from morning to 12:00 noon, due to the passage of a vessel through the area, which requires the complete interruption of traffic in that section.

Given the measure, it is suggested to use the Duarte and Ramón Matías Mella bridges as alternatives, especially for those traveling to sectors such as Villa Duarte and other points in Santo Domingo Este.
