Venezuelans in the Dominican Republic view Nicolás Maduro's arrest with optimism

Santo Domingo.– Venezuelans residing in the Dominican Republic expressed as positive the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, considering that it is an event that could mark a turning point in the political and social crisis that Venezuela has been going through for years.

For many Venezuelans in the country consulted by De Último Minuto, the news has awakened a feeling of relief and expectation, understanding that it represents progress towards accountability and international justice. They point out that this fact renews the hope that real changes will occur that allow the restoration of democratic order and respect for human rights in their nation. “We are hopeful to return to the land”, they agree in pointing out that they dream of returning to a country in freedom, where they can reunite with their families and rebuild their lives without fear or persecution.

"This is the beginning of something bigger. Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of the dictatorship in Venezuela", they highlighted.
