Emanuel Herrera Batista, worldwide known as El Alfa "El Jefe", is a Dominican singer, songwriter, and producer who has become one of the main exponents of dembow, an urban rhythm with roots in Jamaican dancehall.
Born on December 18, 1990 in Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic, El Alfa has managed to consolidate an international musical career thanks to his unmistakable style, collaborations with great figures, and a powerful presence on digital platforms.
Musical Beginnings and Early Successes of El Alfa
El Alfa began his career in 2008 as part of the duo El Alfa & Eddy Wilson, with songs like El fogón and Conmigo no. After the dissolution of the duo, he began his solo career with the single Coche bomba in 2009, which positioned him as a promise of the urban genre in the Dominican Republic.
Over the years, he released popular songs such as Coco Mordan (2010), No Wiri Wiri (2011), Con to' lo' cacabele (2012) and Fuin, Fuan (2013). His talent and energy led him to collaborate with artists such as Jowell & Randy, Farruko, Arcángel, Nicky Jam and others, solidifying his name in the urban scene.
