HEAT Awards 2025 arrives for the first time in Medellín; welcomes several artists and figures on a single stage

MEDELLÍN, COLOMBIA. – The HEAT Latin Music Awards this year have a new stage: the beautiful city of Medellín, which this Sunday welcomed some of the national and international artists and figures who will participate in the night that celebrates the best of Latin talent.

This eleventh edition promises to transform this emblematic Colombian city into the epicenter of Latin music, bringing together diverse tropical rhythms and multiple nationalities.

The week began with a welcome cocktail for the international press, organized by the Mayor's Office of Medellín and the Latin HEAT Music Awards, in which Mayor Federico Gutiérrez and the general director of the awards, Diana Montes, participated.

“Medellín is today the cradle of music in Latin America, thanks to the richness and diversity of musical genres that are born in the city,” said Diana Montes, highlighting the importance of the choice of Medellín as the venue.

Mayor Gutiérrez highlighted the significance of this event for the city: “The Medellín that the world knew has been transformed. Today we are committed to culture and opportunities. The celebration of the HEAT Awards is a recognition of Medellín, Colombia, and our artists.”

The gala, which will be held this Thursday, May 29th, at the Coliseo Iván de Bedout, will be hosted by the Venezuelan comedian Marko, the Dominican presenter Caroline Aquino, the universal runner-up Amanda Dudamel, and the Colombian actress María Laura Quintero.

The event will be broadcast live on HTV and the digital platforms of the HEAT Awards.

Likewise, it will include performances by prominent artists such as Farruko, Alexis y Fido, Beéle, LIT Killah, Kapo, Chyno y Nacho, Nanpa Básico, Majo Aguilar, Elena Rose, Yailin La Más Viral, Paola Jara, Arelys Henao and Francy.

In addition, Pipe Bueno will pay tribute to Carlos Vives in mariachi version, along with Majo Aguilar, Luis Alfonso and Jessi Uribe.
