In the afternoon, the interaction of local effects (heat, humidity, and orography) with the trough will favor more significant cloud cover, moderate to heavy showers, isolated thunderstorms, and wind gusts in inland regions, as well as in some sectors of the northern part of the capital. The trough will continue to affect from the early hours of Monday, generating rains and possible thunderstorms, mainly in provinces of the northeast and the Caribbean coast, including Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, La Romana, La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Barahona and Pedernales.During the afternoon, rainfall is expected to move towards inland areas such as Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Azua, Independencia, Santiago Rodríguez and Dajabón, gradually decreasing at night.
