Santo Domingo.- The representative of Barahona, Jennifer Ventura and newly crowned Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025, was one of the hundreds of people who witnessed the tragedy at the Jet Set nightclub that left a toll of 236 fatalities.
Miss RD confessed in a recent interview that four months ago she lost her mother Roselin Marte Nova that tragic dawn of April 8, however she continued with her aspirations to win the crown to honor her memory because it was she who motivated her to participate in the contest.
Jennifer, expressed that after her mother's death in the tragedy, she understood that this would be the purpose that God put in her life to embrace that childhood dream, which came to transform her life and many other lives through her story. The new representative of Dominicans in the international contest Miss Universe, took the opportunity to send a message to the families of the victims of the Jet Set tragedy, to see in her an ally and an example of resilience, because she more than anyone knows that the pain will not go away but it can be transformed.“Participating in the Miss Republic was a dream I had since I was little, but I thought it would stay in the trunk of memories, but life moved in an extraordinary way and creating a purpose with meaning”, expressed the new Miss Republic in Trukamelo Digital.

Jennifer Ventura, a civil engineer by profession with an international master's degree in senior management, was crowned on Sunday night in the 69th edition of the national Miss Dominican Republic Universe pageant. She is preparing to represent the Dominican Republic next November in Miss Universe, which this year is being held in Thailand.
