Santo Domingo R.D.- The General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP), in compliance with its legal attributions, issued this Monday Resolution no. DGCP-44-2025-003701, through which it orders the cancellation and suspension ex officio of the State Suppliers Registry (RPE) of natural and legal persons convicted or prosecuted for crimes committed against the Public Administration.

The Director General of Public Procurement, Carlos Pimentel Florenzán, explained that this decision is based on the information provided by the Attorney General's Office and on the provisions of Law no. 340-06 on Public Purchases and Contracting and its Implementing Regulations, as well as Law no. 107-13 on the Rights of Persons in their Relations with the Administration and Administrative Procedure.

"With this resolution, we reaffirm our commitment to guarantee the integrity of the National System of Public Procurement and Contracting, strengthening controls and ensuring that no supplier convicted of corruption can benefit from State resources," said Pimentel.

The measure includes:

1. The definitive cancellation ex officio of 21 RPEs of natural and legal persons convicted of corruption with an approved agreement.

2. The provisional suspension of 14 criminally prosecuted suppliers, until a final judicial decision is made.

3. The automatic suspension of 12 company records whose partners or managers have been convicted, as a preventive mechanism.

Through a press release, the DGCP explained that suppliers with a "canceled" status will not be able to contract with the State again, while those "suspended" are temporarily disqualified until the corresponding judicial process concludes.

Likewise, the governing body notified the act to the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Chamber of Accounts, the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) and the Attorney General's Office for the relevant legal purposes.

"With this action, the DGCP seeks to send, once again, a message to the citizenry and to the actors in the public market: public procurement must be a space of transparency, integrity and respect for the law, free of suppliers involved in acts of crimes against the Public Administration," concluded Pimentel.

The resolution is available for public consultation in the Legal Framework section of the institutional portal www.dgcp.gob.do.
