Agents from the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps inspected the scene. Among the evidence collected are .40 caliber casings, 9 millimeters, and one rifle casing, suggesting the use of different weapons in the aggression. The magnitude of the shooting and the context in which it occurs, just hours before the celebration of the NBA Puerto Rico Celebrity Game 2025, has raised speculation about possible links with entertainment figures. Authorities confirmed that they do not rule out a connection with the singer Anuel AA, who will participate in the event.

This is the second incident of this type at the Choliseo temporarily linked to the presence of the urban artist. In 2019, a similar event was recorded after a concert where Anuel was invited. On that occasion, more than 130 shell casings were found in the vicinity of the place.

As a precautionary measure, the event organizers suspended the press conference scheduled for Friday morning. However, the activities planned at the venue, including the celebrity game and the NBA game, remain on the agenda. The Convention Center District Authority and ASM Global, the entity operating the Coliseum, reported that damage is being assessed and security protocols are being reinforced. The Police have intensified patrols and remain in control of the scene while the investigation continues.
