Weekend of no car washing! Indomet forecasts showers due to trough incidence!

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology reported that the unstable conditions in a large part of the Dominican territory will bring local showers, isolated thunderstorms and possible wind gusts on the night of this Saturday, especially over provinces in the interior and the northern zone.

These precipitations are generated by a trough associated with a frontal system located over the central portion of Cuba.

The rains have affected areas such as El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, Samaná, San Cristóbal, San Juan, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, La Vega, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Elías Piña and La Altagracia.

These precipitations are expected to continue until the early hours of the night, and for tomorrow Sunday, weather models indicate a partial decrease in humidity due to the trough moving away.

Furthermore, they report that another trough in the upper levels of the troposphere, combined with wind drag, will promote isolated showers from dawn and morning hours towards towns on the Atlantic coast.
