Teenager stabbed in SFM entertainment center

SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS. - A violent incident that occurred on Sunday night in an entertainment center in this city culminated in the death of Mikel Fernández, a 27-year-old, after receiving a fatal stab wound to the chest during an altercation. The death of Fernández, a resident of Santo Domingo who was visiting to spend the December holidays, has generated consternation in the community, as the conflict originated over a debt. According to the initial testimony of the deceased's mother, Mikel was with a cousin when he was confronted by an individual identified as Rafelin. The woman stated that the aggression occurred because Mikel's nephew allegedly owed Rafelin money.

However, the exact motive for the conflict centered on Rafelin angrily demanding from the victim's cousin because he had acted as guarantor for a loan that had not been paid. The claim quickly escalated to physical violence.
