The Chamber of Deputies of the Brazilian Congress canceled Eduardo Bolsonaro's diplomatic passport, after having removed him from his duties due to "excessive absences" the previous week, reports G1.
The decision was based on the fact that local laws stipulate that only active deputies and senators are entitled to hold diplomatic passports.
Bolsonaro's son left the country last February on leave and settled in the U.S., from where he unsuccessfully promoted a campaign to prevent the conviction against the former president, sentenced to 27 years in prison for leading a coup plot.
