The executive highlighted both the player's speed and his personal qualities off the field. The human aspect of Gore was also highlighted by Chad Funderburk, friend and collaborator in his sports academy, who described him to AP as a man “generous with many young people”. The MLB expressed its shock on social media, while the Royals expressed in a message: “We are devastated by the loss of Terrance Gore and send our condolences to his family and loved ones”.
