Carlos Vives announces his return to the Colombian stages with his 'Tour al Sol' tour

Bogotá.- Singer Carlos Vives announced this Tuesday that after eight years without touring Colombia, he is returning to the stages of his country with the 'Tour al Sol', which will stop in six cities starting next September. This is how the singer from Santa Marta (north) explained it at an event held at the Bogotá Planetarium, where he pointed out that this tour will be a musical and emotional experience that "invites us to take a journey within ourselves" to "reconnect with the essential, celebrate identity and honor what really matters."

The tour, which will also take the singer to Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico between next April and June, will stop in six Colombian cities during the second half of 2026. You will perform in Ibagué on September 18; Bogotá, on the 25th and 27th of the same month; Bucaramanga, on October 16; Medellín, the next day; Pereira, on November 6, and Cali, fifteen days later. Additionally, the artist also confirmed performances in Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador) on September 3rd and 5th. In his speech, Vives claimed to tour Colombia again: "Our music took us to sing in other places. Without dreaming it, without thinking about it. So, to sing again on a tour here is what it should be because we were born for here." The tour will represent the journey the Sun makes throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset, with moments of "hope, joy, and collective celebration". With 'Tour al Sol', Vives seeks to reaffirm his defense of Colombian identity through a proposal that "looks beyond fleeting trends to embrace legacy, celebrates endearing love in the face of disposable relationships, and chooses authenticity as a path, even amidst the noise of fame". This announcement comes with the release of 'Te dedico' -the first single from his upcoming album 'El último disco', still without an official release date- a "intimate and luminous" song that marks a new artistic stage in Vives' career.
