The Director General of the National Police, Major General Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz, ordered this Monday more than 30 changes and new appointments in regional, specialized, area and departmental directorates, with the aim of strengthening citizen security throughout the national territory.
Among the movements is General Esteban Figuereo García, who, in addition to Deputy General Director, will assume the Central Directorate of Police Transformation. Likewise, General Jorge Perdomo Sena will head Human Resources.

In the regional elections, new heads were appointed in La Altagracia, La Vega, South, East, Santo Domingo East and West, San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo North, Puerto Plata, Cibao Central, María Trinidad Sánchez, Cibao Sur, Southeast, West and Northwest, among other demarcations.
The changes also encompass strategic areas such as Legal Affairs, Planning and Development (Diplan), Information Technology, School Police, Community Police, Human Rights, Counterintelligence, Anti-Gang, Anti-Noise, Specialized Services, Retirement Committee, Weapons Intendancy and Prison Supervision under police control.
The institution indicated that these designations are part of the internal reorganization and strengthening process to optimize police service and operational effectiveness throughout the country.
