Santo Domingo. – The preventive operations deployed by the National Police in different sectors of Villa Mella allowed the seizure of portions of narcotic substances, illegal firearms, slot machines, and speakers used to generate sonic contamination. In addition, a stolen motorcycle was recovered, and several antisocial individuals linked to criminal acts were arrested.
During the interventions, police officers dismantled several drug sale points in sectors such as Los Solares de La Nueva Barquita, Mata San Juan and San Felipe, where they seized portions presumably of marijuana and cocaine.

In the El Edén neighborhood, a firearm carried illegally was seized, while two others were confiscated during joint operations with members of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) in sectors such as San Felipe and Haras Nacionales, among other intervened points. Also, on the old Villa Mella road, a Haojue motorcycle, Xpres model, which had been reported stolen, was recovered. The vehicle was located in the hands of individuals who were arrested and subsequently placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry. The actions also included arrests for various criminal acts and detentions for investigation purposes. Within the framework of the "Christmas with Peace Guarantee 2.0" operation, agents seized slot machines that were operating illegally in several commercial establishments. Speakers were also retained following complaints of sonic contamination that affected the tranquility of residents. The Santo Domingo Norte Regional Directorate reiterated its commitment to maintain constant operations to strengthen citizen security and preserve public order throughout the Christmas season.
