"I expect from society that we socially punish and point out each of those people who did what you all know and has come out so far," expressed the vice president, describing the case as a blow to institutional trust.

The official reiterated that the Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against any illicit act. "We did not come to govern to cover up acts of corruption. As soon as they are identified, absolutely nothing is hidden," she assured. He recalled that it is the Public Ministry, as an independent body, that is in charge of carrying out the investigation to its ultimate consequences, and he highlighted that the scandal demonstrates the need to strengthen control mechanisms in public institutions. However, he warned that there will always be risks: "When someone wants to do something wrong, they look for a way to evade any type of control." The vice president reiterated the government's commitment to make transparent every irregularity detected and ensure that those responsible are prosecuted according to the law. The statements were offered after their participation in the thanksgiving mass and presentation of the 2024-2025 institutional report of the PUCMM, held at the university parish Nuestra Señora de la Anunciación, on the Santiago campus.
