LA ROMANA.– With a power offensive led by Eloy Jiménez, Sergio Alcántara and Bryan De La Cruz, and a solid opening by Enny Romero, the Toros del Este defeated the Gigantes del Cibao 10-6 this Sunday at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium, in the continuation of the Round Robin of the championship.

Jiménez hit a home run and drove in three runs, while Alcántara hit a two-run homer and De la Cruz added a solo home run. The Toros scored their 10 runs with just nine hits, five of them extra-base hits, including two doubles and three home runs, raising their total of collective home runs to five this postseason. For Jiménez, this was his first home run of the All-Against-All and extended his streak of consecutive games driving in runs to four.
