Dicrim arrests man in flagrante delicto accused of homicide

Members of the Regional Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), P.N., La Vega, apprehended in flagrante delicto the named Orlando de Jesús Cruz Patiño, Dominican, 43 years of age, for his alleged responsibility in the death of the citizen Alfonso Mendoza, alias “Mojarra”, Dominican, 30 years old, resident in the Burende sector of this city.

The incident occurred on the Duarte highway, near the Burende sector, where the deceased was mortally wounded during a fight stemming from old personal grudges, according to the version offered by the aggressor himself.

After the incident, the aggressor was injured and taken to a health center, where he received medical attention, and was subsequently arrested in the act, verbally admitting his participation in the event.

During the scene investigation, a bladed weapon, a wooden stick, a cap, and a motorcycle, property of the deceased, were collected as evidence.

The body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) for the corresponding purposes, while the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the legal purposes of the place.
