Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD) celebrates today, February 15, a new anniversary of its founding, reaffirming its commitment to the defense of national airspace, sovereignty, and the security of the country.
Since its creation, the institution has played a strategic role in protecting Dominican territory, strengthening its operational capabilities through the modernization of its fleet, the constant training of its personnel, and cooperation with national and international organizations.
Within the framework of this commemoration, protocolary acts, floral offerings, and institutional activities are carried out in honor of the historical trajectory of the entity and in service of the men and women who make up its ranks.
The Air Force also highlighted its work in missions supporting the population, including humanitarian assistance, rescues, aeromedical transport, combating drug trafficking, and logistical support in emergency situations and natural disasters.
