In the framework of the commemoration of International Women's Day, the Senate of the Dominican Republic held a special event in which outstanding women were recognized for their careers and contributions to society.
During the event, educator Adalberta Lucía Calcaño Maldonado, representing the province of Samaná, was honored for her valuable work in favor of education and community development.
Calcaño Maldonado holds a degree in Basic Education and is a teacher specializing in Special Education. Throughout her career, she has dedicated her life to the service of teaching and strengthening the education system in her province. She currently serves as District Director of Education, from where she continues to work for the training and well-being of new generations.
This recognition highlights her commitment, vocation, and trajectory, making her an example for society and an inspiration for Dominican women.
