Miches, El Seibo. – The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) reported that this Wednesday, December 3rd, the installation of a new power transformer will take place in the local substation, as part of the expansion and modernization plan of the electrical infrastructure in this important tourist area. This improvement represents a decisive step in strengthening the distribution system, increasing its stability, efficiency, and load capacity. In addition, the project includes the complete refurbishment of the substation, benefiting more than 6,500 customers, and prepares the infrastructure to respond to the growing energy demand that the municipality has been experiencing, associated with its tourism development. The equipment to be installed is a 14 MVA power transformer, which doubles the current capacity of the substation, currently operated with 7 MVA. The mayor of Miches, Luz María Mercedes Cabrera, highlighted the support received: “thanks to Edeeste for understanding that Miches needed that power transformer, which will mean a positive change in the energy service”. She stressed that with this action the company fulfills a promise expected by the community, and also expressed her gratitude to President Luis Abinader, for the attention and follow-up to the call that has made this achievement possible.
