The impact of drones left victims in Pidseredne. The Kyiv Air Force reports constant attacks with more than a hundred downed aircraft in the last few hours.
Rescue operations remain active in the town of Pidseredne, where a drone attack completely destroyed a residential building. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), rescuers recovered the body of a deceased person from the rubble and transported an injured woman after the impact of the device. The incident is part of a new wave of attacks attributed to Russian forces in the Kharkiv province, in northeastern Ukraine, after more than four years of war initiated after the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As reported by the SES in a statement picked up by the international press, the impact on Pidseredne left the structure of the house completely collapsed, which required the intervention of emergency teams to remove the remains of the building. Workers continued with the search tasks and secured the area in the face of the possibility of new attacks, according to the organization cited by the news agencies.
The escalating use of drones continues to affect various points in Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 187 drones against the national territory during the recent night. The military command's report detailed that 165 of these unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized by air defenses, but at least fourteen locations registered impacts. "The attack continues, as there are numerous enemy drones in the airspace," stated the military communiqué reproduced by several media outlets, reflecting the intensity and persistence of the offensive.
The aerial devices used in the attack are part of the weaponry deployed by Moscow as part of its strategy of pressure on Ukrainian infrastructure and urban areas. The use of these drones, which can reach specific targets and cause serious structural damage, has already been denounced by local authorities as a recurring risk to the civilian population, especially in border areas or near the combat lines.
In parallel, Moscow claimed to have also repelled a significant number of drone attacks, although in the opposite direction and over its own territory. According to the Russian government, the defenses intercepted 95 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Ukrainian forces, including several in the Moscow region, among them five that, they claimed, were heading towards the Russian capital.
