Santo Domingo.- According to the file presented by the Public Ministry in the case of the rape of the young Génesis Peña, one of those accused remains a fugitive from justice.
The named Erik Castro Álvarez, alias “Pochón”, is mentioned in the file as the last of the seven accused of committing the aggravated act against Peña, on March 17 of this year.
Those who have already been arrested are Edwin Manuel Castro Guzmán (El Guaro), Yamir Fernando Pérez Toribio (Ferere), Javier Eduardo Núñez Toribio (Bebé or El Chichi), José Alfonso Rubiera Rodríguez (Fonso), Oniel Rafael Pichardo Martínez (Contrera) and Delfri de Jesús Rodríguez (Yiyo).
During the searches, the authorities seized several cell phones, including a white iPhone 13 and a blue iPhone 12, which contained videos of the assault. Meanwhile, a gold iPhone 12 Pro Max was voluntarily handed over by a witness to whom one of the accused had sent the audiovisuals.

The Public Ministry classified the case as one of the most serious cases of sexual and digital violence in recent years in the northern region of the country, stating that the videos of the assault constitute direct evidence against the accused.
Authorities are maintaining search operations to locate "Pochón", who allegedly participated in the event and is identified as a key figure in the organization of the aggression.
