Monseñor Nouel. – The residents of the Rincón de Yuboa community once again raised their voices this Wednesday, September 3, demanding that the central Government and the Ministry of Public Works and Communications build a box culvert bridge over the Duarte highway.
The demonstration took place on the same road and was supported by the councilor and popular leader Richar Ramírez, who joined the community members to demand an immediate solution to this problem which, according to them, puts the lives of hundreds of people at risk every day.
Residents explained that both children, young people, and adults are forced to cross the highway in both north-south and south-north directions, exposing themselves to fatal accidents. They emphasized that the danger is even greater because a girls' home operates in the area, which makes the construction of the requested bridge even more urgent.
Community members warned that they will maintain pressure until they obtain a concrete response from the authorities, insisting that the box bridge is not only a road necessity, but also a guarantee of safety and protection for the entire community of Rincón de Yuboa.
