San Francisco de Macorís.- The senator for Duarte province, Franklin Romero, filed a bill yesterday before the secretariat of the Senate of the Republic, which seeks to designate the athletics track of the Juan Pablo Duarte sports complex in this city, with the name of the deceased athlete Cesar Nazario Ramos.
With his legislative initiative, the congressman seeks to honor Ramos, considered one of the most consecrated sports leaders in the history of this municipality.
"This proposal to name the renovated athletics track in San Francisco de Macorís after Nazario Ramos is a recognition of a man who gave everything for sport and youth," expressed Romero, through a press release from the Duarte Senatorial Management Office.
The legislator considered that Nazario Ramos's vast sporting career makes him deserving of having the aforementioned sports facility bear the name of the also member of the Hall of Fame of Sport of the Northeast Region.
