Washington.- The suspect in the shooting recorded this Saturday on the campus of Brown University in the city of Providence, in the state of Rhode Island, was not arrested, rectified the President of the USA, Donald Trump, after assuring that he was.

"Brown University police walked back their earlier statement: the suspect is NOT in custody," Trump announced in a message on his social network, Truth Social "I have been informed about the shooting that took place at Brown University, in Rhode Island. The FBI is on the scene!" wrote the president in a first message. The university reported that the "situation continues" after more than an hour since the first alert. You can also read: "There is an active shooter near Barus & Holley. Brown and Providence police are on the scene. Remain sheltered in place at this time," the university warned in an alert sent to students. The center's portal also stated that the suspect was arrested and then rectified. The authorities did not confirm whether there are any injuries or fatalities, but the university announced that there are emergency medical services on site. The study center is coordinating with "multiple police agencies on the scene". "Close the doors, silence the phones, and remain hidden until further notice. Remember: RUN, if you are in the affected area, evacuate safely if you can; HIDE, if evacuation is not possible, take cover; FIGHT, as a last resort, take measures to protect yourselves," added the university.
