Santo Domingo. - According to the Dominican Republic's National Meteorological Office (INDOMET), the influence of warm and humid winds from the east/southeast maintains very favorable meteorological conditions for cloud increases, scattered showers or downpours, and possible thunderstorms to occur from early hours and during the morning in towns of: La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, Peravia, San Cristóbal, Barahona, and El Gran Santo Domingo.
Meanwhile, during the afternoon, the high moisture content in the air mass that covers us will combine with local effects (daytime heating and orographic), so that increases in cloudiness will be generated with moderate to heavy showers at times, thunderstorms and wind gusts, especially over the provinces: La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Azua, San Juan, Independencia and Baoruco. This precipitation activity will decrease in a large part of the national geography in the early hours of the night.
However, for tomorrow Tuesday, the wind will prevail from the east and from the morning hours, will produce cloud developments and the presence of scattered showers, especially in towns of: La Altagracia, Samaná, Hato Mayor, María Trinidad Sánchez, Barahona and Pedernales. In the afternoon, the daytime heating and the local orography will add up, and will give rise to cloud increases with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in provinces of the northeast, northwest and the Central Mountain Range.
