Santo Domingo. — The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET) reported that today a trough has been affecting the weather conditions in the national territory, generating scattered moderate intensity rainfall in different locations of the country.
The rains have been recorded mainly in provinces such as San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, as well as in Greater Santo Domingo, where isolated showers occurred during the afternoon.
According to the weather report, in the early hours of the night the rainfall is expected to gradually decrease in these areas. However, the rains could move towards sectors of the north coast, where isolated rainfall is expected during the night period.

For tomorrow Sunday, it is forecast that in the afternoon weak and isolated rains could occur again in the Greater Santo Domingo and the southeast of the country, including the metropolitan area, although with less intensity. Regarding temperatures, the agency indicated that they will remain pleasant, especially during the night and early morning hours, due to the time of year, which will favor a comfortable thermal sensation.
