Santiago.- The director of the Santiago Water and Sewerage Corporation (Coraasan), Andrés Cueto, assured that 70% of the population does not pay for the drinking water service in this city.

Cueto offered these statements at the inauguration of the sanitary sewer system in Los Apontes, Tamboril and Monte Adentro, works and highlighted that, of every 100 users that Coraasan has, only 30% pay for the water, which he said represents a loss of 70% which he attributes to the lack of consequences.

However, the official explained that despite the situation with the team accompanying them, charges have increased and the supply of drinking water has improved, as the public has perceived.
