MINERD and Grupo SID present a digital platform to train more than 20 thousand students in the SDGs

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD) and Grupo SID presented a new digital platform aimed at teaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will benefit more than 20,000 primary school students before 2028.

Developed by Grupo SID under the EducaSID program, the tool is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 and offers teachers and students interactive resources, practical guides, and audiovisual materials that facilitate the integration of sustainability in the classroom, through the use of technology and active methodologies. Access will be available through the official MINERD portal, with a direct link to EducaSID.com.do. "We believe that education transforms, but not just any education. We are committed to one that teaches to think, to question, to care, and to propose. An education that sows awareness, judgment, and purpose," said Ligia Bonetti, executive president of Grupo SID. The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel de Camps, highlighted that the initiative not only provides quality content and interactive games, but also "strengthens our ability to train critical, creative, responsible, and committed citizens to their community." EducaSID seeks to ensure equitable access to these resources throughout the country, eliminating geographical barriers and promoting inclusive education. The project aligns with SDG 4, goal 7, which promotes quality education with a focus on sustainability.

Grupo SID, a leader in mass consumption products with a presence in 21 countries and more than 2,000 products in its portfolio, has been recognized for its commitment to social welfare and sustainability.
