According to Gloria Reyes, the framework of this agreement is a demonstration of the commitment assumed by the Dominican Government, through the institution in charge of the design and application of social protection policy, which complements the support provided from the first day of the disaster, and which reinforces the social sensitivity of the governmental authorities.⁣

“With this effort, articulated with the intervention protocol activated after the tragedy, we add an educational response that strengthens social protection and the fight against poverty because, each year of preserved study translates into more capacities, more future income and more community resilience”, said the director of the DDSS.⁣

The agreement also provides for accompaniment and comprehensive support from behavioral professionals, in order to reverse the psychological consequences produced by the loss of fathers, mothers and/or their means of economic support, due to the tragedy that occurred in the aforementioned entertainment center, on April 8, 2025.⁣
