Santo Domingo. – With the sun beating down harder this September than it has in days, it will be the hottest month of the year. Citizens consulted on the streets shared with laughter their strategies for surviving the heat that plagues the city. The most popular was to drink plenty of fluids, because as they said, "if one doesn't hydrate, they evaporate like the breeze". Others claimed that the key is not to get angry, since stress raises the temperature faster than the sun itself.
