At that moment, the Yankees comfortably dominated the scoreboard 6-0. After the impact, Chisholm immediately went to the dugout and then to the tunnel. Panamanian José Caballero entered as a pinch runner and stayed defending second base. The team reported that the initial X-rays were negative, although the player will undergo a CT scan to rule out complications. Called up for the second time to the All-Star Game in 2025, Chisholm has been a key piece in the Yankees' lineup, with a .244 average, a personal record of 31 home runs and 128 games played in the season.
While the team awaits a more precise diagnosis of Chisholm's condition, the New York ninth continues to focus on its preparation for the postseason, where Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton continue to lead the offense.
